Winter vacation for the greens!

As you may know we go by what mother nature allows. Every winter we need to give the greens that grow on the farm a rest, a chance to catch up and grow a little more. This is that time. The extreme lack of  abundant sunshine and warm air brings the plants to a screeching halt. With hardly any growth occurring at all, we intend on beginning our winter break after the last delivery of this cycle. We’ve had luck in past winter seasons only having to give the greens about 2 weeks rest. Though we always have to be flexible in this situation. Where it may take up to 3-4 weeks. Really all depending on how cold and how much snow fall we have. As that greatly effects the levels of sunlight entering the greenhouses. The picture below can give you a pretty good idea of what we’re talking about.

Once the weather is more in our favor, and the plants we grow for our gourmet mix  have chance to lay down deeper roots, and develop bigger leaves. Then we will be back to free home deliveries right to your front door. Beginning the new year with our 4 week cycles, instead of 10. If you still haven’t had the chance to sign up please go ahead and do so by clicking the link here, http://babygreensri.com/order/  . It seems some of our regular customers still have yet to enter your info into the new system. We don’t want to lose you!  If you need any help please contact us immediately and let us know. We’d be more then happy to help you out.
